Fellowship Project: Blog Posting

After you watch the video and read the study notes below, answer these questions here:

Discuss:

how the word of God says the opposite of what you may be experiencing around you. How do you navigate, and how can you stand on God's word?

What are the two ways in which to change the atmosphere around you?

1. What would happen if you didn't renew your mind?

a. How do you get your mind and heart to agree to fulfill what Jesus has said and overcome the body/flesh/carnality?

b. If you don't reinforce what God has revealed through His word, then you miss the opportunity of doing what He wants to fulfill. How does that cause a delay in God's plan, and how do you move forward?

2. According to 2 Chronicles 5:13-14, how does proclaiming who God is and praising Him with worship change the atmosphere? What would happen if you did this? How would things be different if you didn't worship?

3. How could you change history if you were to all agree based on Matthew 18:19-20?

4. Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.

God Wants to Change Your Atmosphere

You have to decide what you're going to believe. You don't deny the facts; you just have to supersede them with the truth. Truth is actually at a higher level than the facts"
~Kevin Zadai

In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:6

DISCUSSION:
Wherever you live, God wants to come and change your atmosphere and environment. John was abandoned on an island called the Al Patmos. It was much like a giant prison, and God visited him. Jesus Christ came and spoke to him; he wrote the book of Revelation in a hostile environment. There were criminals on that island.

Think about Paul; he had amazing things happen to him his whole life. He went from shipwreck to famine to being beaten and in jail. Think of all the things that the apostles went through, yet they were in control of their environment. They created an environment, and they had angel visitations. They had many revelations, and things came to them.

Ephesians 4:23:
And be renewed by the spirit of your mind.

• There is a spiritual part of you, a psychological part of you, and a physical part of you.

• Paul talks about this in 1 Thessalonians 5:23, separating a person into three parts: spirit, soul, and body.

• The spirit is born again. That's the real you, the part that lives forever.

• You have a soul, which is your mind, will, and emotions. It's where we get the word psyche. It's Greek and comes from the word psychology.

• Then we have the body.

• The only part of you that's instantly changed is the spirit.

• We are born again, which means that old things have passed away, and everything has become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

• Your spirit is reborn, which means you will live forever in Heaven because you were born again.

• Something happens in your spirit that gives life to you (the life of God), and the old passes away.

RENEWING YOUR MIND
Romans 12:2:

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

• With the renewing of the mind, transformation happens by the word of God.

• A person has to be fully convinced.

• People often doubt and fear, and they oscillate in their beliefs, but your mind has to be changed or transformed by the word of God.

• Then you psychologically decide to believe what you've heard.

• Your heart is already changed because you accepted Jesus Christ, and you're born again (John 3:1-21).

• The warfare you face is when things try to exalt themselves above the knowledge of God. You have to bring them into captivity. (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Discuss how the word of God says the opposite of what you may be experiencing around you. How do you navigate, and how can you stand on God's word?

If you have a situation in your body, you can't deny that it's happening. You have the symptoms, and the fact is that something is wrong, and you need healing. You can't deny those things are happening in your body because they're there, but the truth is that there is a higher provision available for you through the blood of Jesus and through the process of what He went through. Jesus was punished, and Isaiah 53 talks about how He took stripes upon His back and took a beating so that we could be healed. It's part of the covenant.

Peter quotes Isaiah 53, in 1 Peter 2:24, and says, "... by His stripes; you were healed." When Jesus took the stripes upon His back, you were healed. That was before you were born. It happened long before any of us were born.

Here, we see the truth versus the facts. The fact is that you have the symptoms, but you have to decide what you're going to believe. You don't deny the facts; you just have to supersede them with the truth. The truth is actually at a higher level than the facts. Facts have to do with the concept of science.
Science in its purest form is just observation. Therefore, you observe it, then it appears to be a certain way, and you make statements about it. As it goes along, there's progressive support for it, and some of the facts turned out to not be true.

• God knows the absolute truth and reveals it through His word.

• You can change your atmosphere and environment by renewing your mind and allowing what's in your spirit and what's in the word of God to be prevalent and conquer you.

• You can be convinced in your mind.

• Then, when your mind sides with the truth, your spirit will be right there.

• Then you can speak to your body by acknowledging that these things are happening, but you believe what God has said, and you know that the provision has been made. Therefore, by His stripes, you were healed. That's the proper way to do it.

I've seen this in many people's lives, including mine. I've seen things reversed where the facts changed because of the truth. The truth needs to be implemented so you can renew your mind.
Talk about the difference between facts and truth and how truth doesn't change because God's truth is absolute.

Psalm 89 talks about the layers that are within God's throne. They are absolutes such as righteousness and justice. All these attributes of God are within His throne. They are not going to change. Facts will change because as things progress, they're not permanent in this broken world, but God's truth never changes. God doesn't change.
He changes not. He's always going to be who He is as a person.

GIVING THANKS AND PRAISE
2 Chronicles 5:13- 14 NLT:
The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raised their voices and praised the Lord with these words:

"He is good! His faithful love endures forever!"

At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord. The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple of God.

• Another way that you can change your atmosphere is through giving thanks and praising the Lord. It's not just by the renewing of your mind.

• The people here were having a normal church service, but they began to worship.

• They used different instruments, raised their voices, and praised the Lord with these words.

• It's very important when you're doing this to choose your words wisely because they do matter.

• In this case, they proclaimed, "He is good. His faithful love endures forever."

• That is the exact verbiage used in the New Testament to describe the preaching of the gospel. The gospel is good news.

• When you say that God is good, you're proclaiming the gospel because God is a good God.

• Therefore, proclaim that He is good with instruments and with voices singing.

• Say that He is good and that His faithful love endures forever.

• His faithfulness and love are eternal; they never stop or cease.

• God's faithfulness and His love for us are continuing.

• When the people did and said these things, a thick cloud entered the temple.

• That's how you change your environment. You proclaim that God is good, that His love and mercy endure forever, and that He's faithful.

• The priests could not stand any longer. They couldn't do what they were assigned to do anymore because the glory of the Lord filled that service and the temple.

• That's how it is in our life. It fills us, but it fulfills us.

• The joy of the Lord is our strength. The joy of the Lord can manifest.

• There are many manifestations of the fruit of the Spirit that can happen in our lives when the glory of the Lord comes in.

• It doesn't matter the size of the service, what building, or where you choose to meet.

• It involves people getting together and worshiping God and proclaiming that He is good and that everything about Him continues.

Matthew 1:19-20 KJV:
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

PRAYER:
Father. I just thank You for your power. I thank you for Your intervention right now. I thank You, Father, that we're going to renew our minds, and we're going to receive an impartation from the Holy Spirit right now. I believe that minds will be transformed and unchanged and renewed in Jesus' name and also, Father, that the Holy Spirit would help everyone to worship You in spirit and truth and that we would proclaim Your goodness and Your faithfulness forever. And that, Lord, we're going to hear mighty testimonies and miracles from all the warrior fellowships in the name of Jesus. Amen
